Growing up is the path from cocky ignorance to miserable uncertainty....................

I'm really pissed off....I'm more than 20 years old,(but I refuse to say how much more!) and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I now envy the people who used to annoy me, by being so certain about their future......

Will I ever know?...somehow I doubt it now.....but I'll be applying to be a train driver sometime in the next few weeks, or years ...or maybe I could go back to college, or learn how to paint, or win the lottery.......but then I still wouldn't know - in fact it would be worse because I'd have more choice..........

Although I could try being a fireman.....

Or a vet.........

Fuck it, I'll just wait and see if anything new takes my fancy............

Happy Mothers' Day by the way..................

If it ever comes to a toss up between a vet and a fireman, be a fireman, that whole vet think looks much too dangerous. That goat might blow at any second.

I drop by for a stolen visit to find you confused as ever. good! Great to know that some things in life are constant. You're right about one thing though. Something will take your fancy eventually. When the time is right and all that other cosmic stuff. Your planets and moons align... Gheez, I'm starting to feel strangely spaced out here.

Laughed out loud at this one.
Be a fireman. They make more money, they have fireman poles and dalmations (cures your animal fix), and you get to ride around in huge, shiny red trucks with sirens, horns and ladders, and drag large, long hoses about. You get your way in traffic. There are uniforms involved. And... some of my friends and I gift each other with fireman calendars every year. hmmm.

I am an atrocious cook and as a matter of consequence, the local fire dept. is on speed dial. Trust me, they make more money... and then there is that noble hero side... that part is pretty unbeatable.

The vet deal looks pretty sketchy from here. Steve is right.
